Location & Accessibility of York Region
York Region is large and is serves as a critical hub within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) neighbourhoods positioned for accessibility and connectivity to other areas in the GTA. The cities that make up York Region are:
- Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, Georgina Island, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan & Stouffville
And in each of those cities lies various Greater Toronto Area (GTA) neighbourhoods. This region includes major highways like highways 401, 407, 400 and 404. This makes it easy to go from east to west or north to south, quickly. There are several public transit systems such as GO Transit and VIVA Bus services linking all these communities listed above to each other and, to Toronto.
